To The Nth Time

You stand by the solemnity of city lights, your eyes glimmer in the darkest of the night
Still unsure of what our promises are going to look like
But with eyes closed, breathing the future in, said it will be fine tonight

I awaited your arrival over a decade now, feet still standing in the place where we should be, still feeling your shadowing nearness in me. No not this time.
The promises we have made echo in my head: interminably they wail, they grief until they vanish into the great chasm of despair.
Close those eyes, the only way we should be together is to close your eyes.

How far would you go to take risks this time? Heed me, your turn now.
The moon above your heavenly face spangle all over my lifeless chase
Hoping for silver-lined wish that we happen again, over again. Don’t go. Let’s happen again.

I’m burning a thousand miles, our distant days; I now stand where I stood. Heed me, no one’s turn now.
Give it up for yourself, your life’s worth living with another in the offing.
The love I love the most has gone away, seemed like more than impossible to pick the pieces up. No happen again.

 Impatience equals self-importance
For it only follows the desires of the impatient
And those who persevere get nothing but a dream, an empty dream!
